A Message From the President
"As a baby penguin back in freshman year, I never would have known how much of an impact Key Club would have on me. Initially I joined just to get hours and be in a club, but being surrounded by others who are so driven and empowering was inspirational. Seeing their passion for service and being a support system for the community made me wonder, can I be like that. In my attempts to see what made them so driven, I took that first step in going beyond the small community a club serves and into the community our division serves. Serving on the Division Judging Committee allowed me to look over the recognition submissions, read their reflections and understand what Key Club meant to them. To me, Key Club is far more than a club, it’s a family, a passion and forever an inspiration. I can say that I am truly passionate about serving and I hope that I can be someone who inspires you all to go above and bee-yond!"
Angelina Kondo (2022-23 President)
"The first thing that came to my mind when I was introduced to Key Club was, “do they really make keys?” I am certain many of you were like that as well. As you all know by now, we, unfortunately, do not make keys. I always think back to when I first discovered Key Club, and to be honest, I do not know what my life would have been like without Key Club. I have had the opportunity to grow, learn, give back to my community, make new friends, and so much more. If it was not for Key Club, I do not know where I would be at this current moment (most likely lost at sea or something worse). My number one goal this term is to give everyone the same experience I got - something to remember forever. I honestly cannot say it any better than Shana’s blurb (lol), but in the end, do what your heart and mind desire."
Reid Ikeda (2021-22 President)
"To me, Key Club is like a huge friend group. I've met so many amazing people not only from Tino, but from so many different schools that I would have never even dreamed of meeting if I wasn't in Key Club. I honestly don't think I'm going to remember anything from Pre-Calc sophomore year after I graduate, but Key Club memories are like the core memories from the movie Inside Out that stay with you forever and shape who you are hahah. These people and memories really do mean a lot to me and for that, I am thankful to Key Club. This year, as part of the officer team, I really hope to bring that same kind of joy that I experienced to the other people in the club."
